1976年，亞歷山大‧伊萬諾夫（Aleksandr Ivanov）在阿斯特拉罕州的美術學院完成學業。 1980年至1985年，他在俄羅斯聯邦白俄羅斯國立戲劇藝術學院藝術與工業系學習，曾擔任畫家裝潢師，後來擔任技術美學辦公室工業設計小組的經理，在業餘時間，他練習亞洲武術，1990年，他的脊椎椎體C5 / C6嚴重受傷。
In 1976 Aleksandr Ivanov completed his studies at the college of fine arts in Astrakhan. From 1980 to 1985 he studied at the faculty of "Art and Industry of the White Russian State Institute of Theatre and Arts. He became a painter-decorator.
Later on he was the manager of a group for industrial design at an office for technical aesthetics. In his spare time he practiced Asian martial arts.
In 1990 he suffered a grave injury to his spinal vertebrae C5/C6 while training.He has been almost completely paralyzed since that time.His strong will, extraordinary diligence and his courage to face life made Aleksandr Ivanov find his way back to art.
Since 1992 he has almost exclusively dedicated himself to painting. As early as in 1993 he had his first exhibition. Numerous solo exhibitions and contributions to group shows in different countries followed. Today his artistic activities extend far beyond painting. Music became his hobby. Among other things he composes and arranges pieces of music.
He is also a key figure as regards cultural events in his home town. Aleksandr Ivanov became a VDMFK scholarship holder in 2003. Only two years later he was granted the status of an associate member. The artist’s favourite medium is oils. Landscapes and still lives are among his themes.
